Dinnerware Museum

Dinnerware Museum

The Dinnerware Museum celebrates a significant aspect of our daily lives from ancient times to the present.  The Museum collects dinnerware with an international focus including industrially designed and manufactured as well as one-of-a-kind dinnerware and accessories created from ceramics, glass, metal, paper, plastic, lacquer, fiber and wood.  The Museum additionally collects fine art referencing dinnerware.  Related archival materials from individual artists, designers, and companies, including photographs, advertisements, personal and company records, equipment, and research materials are also collected.  The Museum preserves and conserves these objects, exhibits them to the public on a regular basis, and educates the public via permanent and temporary exhibitions, publications, symposia and classes.
