SOFA CHICAGO is honored to be the final destination of Offering Reconciliation, an emotionally moving exhibition of 135 works of art created by prominent Palestinian and Israeli painters, sculptors, photographers and poets, offering their interpretations of reconciliation and hope for peace in the region.
As a finale, all 135 artworks in Offering Reconciliation will be auctioned online, with 15 select artworks proceeding to a live auction at SOFA CHICAGO, Nov. 2 with pre-registration and reception beginning at 5:30 pm and auction starting at 6:00 pm (details below). Bidding for all artworks is open now! All proceeds will support PCFF educational programs in Israeli and Palestinian communities.
Offering Reconciliation was conceived and organized by Parents Circle - Families Forum (PCFF), a grass-roots organization of bereaved Palestinian and Israeli families who have all lost family members due to the violence in the region. The Association of Israel’s Decorative Arts (AIDA), having seen the exhibition in Israel, arranged to bring the artwork first to Brandeis University in the Spring of ’07, and from there the exhibition has toured prestigious venues throughout the U.S. including the World Bank and the United Nations.
