NEW YORK, March 29, 2009 – Opening Night of the 12th Sculpture Objects & Functional Art Fair: SOFA NEW YORK 2009 on Wednesday, April 15 the Park Avenue Armory plays host to New York’s Museum of Arts & Design (MAD) Spring Benefit. Preview doors open at 4:30 pm for upper level MAD patrons. Additional benefits include a MAD cocktail reception themed A Night in India in the Armory's Tiffany Room from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. SOFA NEW YORK 2009 VIP cardholders enjoy early viewing and selection of outstanding master artworks beginning at 5:30 pm. Savor an eclectic assortment of complimentary hors d'oeurves and wine at food stations throughout the Fair. VIP cards will be sent by participating galleries to their clients.

The general public is also cordially invited to attend Opening Night beginning at 7:00 pm. Non-VIP cardholders may purchase a ticket for the affordable price of $100 online or at the door beginning at 7 pm. The preview ends at 9:00 pm.
