NEW YORK 2006 • The Ninth Annual International Exposition of Sculpture Objects & Functional Art: SOFA NEW YORK 2006 kicks off a summer of art in the City at the Seventh Regiment Armory, Park Avenue & 67th Street, Thursday, June 1 – Sunday, June 4. 59 international art dealers will exhibit masterworks bridging the decorative and fine arts. • Opening Night Gala, a Benefit for the Museum of Arts & Design takes place at the Armory the evening of Wednesday, May 31, 2006. For tickets, call MAD at 212.956.3535, ext. 129 or email Stephanie.Lang@madmuseum.org. Ticket order forms are available for download here. • Public Exposition hours: Thursday and Friday, 11am – 8 pm; Saturday, 11 am – 7 pm; Sunday Noon – 6 pm. General admission: $20 + catalog, Four-day ticket: $35 + catalog. Catalogs are subject to availability. Ticket purchase includes one free admission pass to the Museum of Arts & Design. • The SOFA NEW YORK 2006 Lecture Series features presentations by artists, curators, and collectors. Lectures take place Thursday, June 1 – Saturday, June 3 in the Tiffany Room at the Seventh Regiment Armory, and are free to SOFA attendees. View the complete schedule here. Two Special Exhibits are also complimentary with admission. • SOFA NEW YORK 2006 Catalog will include essays by arts professionals and hundreds of images and information on each participating gallery and their artists.
