ESTELAS

Inspired by stone monoliths on her farm in Colombia, in 1996 Olga de Amaral began creating ESTELAS, which are low relief suspended panels, gold leaf on one side and silver leaf on the other. The ESTELAS installations have been exhibited at museums on four continents. The special exhibit at SOFA will be the first time that they will be shown in New York, and will include one piece from the collection of the Museum of Arts and Design. Presented by Bellas Artes/Thea Burger, Santa Fe, NM and New York, NY, in cooperation with the Museum of Arts & Design, New York, NY.
